It my have been a little ambitious for my first real knitting project. Especially since I planned on giving it as a Christmas gift. The actual knitting part was easy enough, but I greatly underestimated the amount of time it would take to work it up. It felt like months, but I think it only took about a month of working on it whenever I could. I used the pattern from <a href=\"https:\/\/knitomatic.com\/collections\/patterns\/products\/basic-cabled-scarf-pattern-free\">this<\/a> website. I wanted to use 100% wool, and this worked well. I&#8217;m not sure if it was particularly coarse for wool or not, but I still have the calluses on my fingers from working on it! Altogether, it was a pretty nice project to work on my knitting ability a little. Unfortunately, I did have to gift it still on the needle&#8230;and then take it back to finish. My sister didn&#8217;t mind too much (I don&#8217;t think \ud83d\ude09 ) but I still would have liked to have finished it before gifting it. I guess next time I make a cable knit scarf I&#8217;ll think to give myself a little more time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>     Well, that&#8217;s all for now!
