Today on Simply Saturday we&#8217;ll be taking a look at making a pocketed denim skirt. I pretty much followed it exactly; Except for with this project I avoided the confusing bodice pieces and used only the skirt part. As you can see, it was a pretty tight fit. Oh, and don&#8217;t pay too much attention to the configuration of the pattern pieces in the first photo. The jumper had a waistband piece already included, so I used that pattern piece, but cut it out wider. The waistband process actually worked out much as I hoped it would, which is surprising. Looking back on it now, I think I would only have added some sort of twill tape or ribbon to the top edge, to keep it from stretching.
