Here I have for you a little compilation of finished projects that I thought might make for an interesting little Simply Saturday post. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>     All of the animals pictured below were given as gifts to most of my nieces and nephews. I used patterns made by other crocheters, a few of them have my own variations, however. I gave it to my one-year-old niece. It was pretty simple, all in all, though I did find out (in the middle of the project) that the pattern I was using had a few defects. The pattern didn&#8217;t correctly show how to finish the stomach or head of the turtle. I remedied the former by crocheting a circle with the exact amount of stitches as the base of the shell and sewing it on. With the head I just drew the hole at the back of the head closed like a drawstring bag, then sewed it in place. The only problem I had with this little guy was the fact that the arms looked rather spindly at the place where they attached to the body. I had planned to make a little sweater to hide that part, but I found out (after I had already made the bear) that the sweater was a little too advanced for my taste. Instead, I made these overalls without a pattern. (Please ignore the different lighting in these two photos, I&#8217;m not sure why it looks like that. On my screen, at least, the side view is much truer to the actual color) This one was a gift for my three-year-old niece. She loves Winnie the Pooh! \ud83d\ude42 This yarn was, for some reason, very difficult to find. I wanted the perfect color and weight, but it took going to several craft stores (and doubling back again!) to find this one. I actually started with a different pattern, very much like this one, but it was turning out a lot smaller than I wanted as I was working on it. I decided instead to reuse the Winnie the Pooh bear pattern, just using different colors and changing a few details. I wanted to make it accurate to the plush Care Bears, so I added the white patches and hearts myself. Oh, and by the way, any resemblance to Hello Kitty was entirely unintentional. \ud83d\ude09 On second thought, it was probably a bad idea to make this cat white, since that color would look dirty the quickest. Fortunately, it still looks pretty clean even though I gifted it almost five months ago. \ud83d\ude42 I have had to reattach the arms ( they were a little loose) since then, but other than that, it&#8217;s held up well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And here&#8217;s the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lilleliis.com\/amigurumi-crochet-freebies\/amigurumi-small-cat\/\"> pattern<\/a> for this last one. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>     I hope you liked this post.
