How are you on this blustery Winds-day? I have a few new books to share with you. Let’s start!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Classic:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I’ll begin with the classic alluded to in the title. This is probably one of the lesser known (or appreciated) Austen books. It does have a slightly different tone to it than the others, such as Emma<\/em> or Pride and Prejudice<\/em>, but I still enjoyed reading it. It centers around a young woman, Fanny Price. She lives with her uncle and his family at Mansfield Park, the home the book is titled after. While there, she has many experiences and makes new acquaintances. The characters in this book are original and entertaining, and I think you’d enjoy getting to know them! The first time I read Mansfield Park<\/em> was several years ago, and I feel that I was a little to young to appreciate it then. I have since read it again and found it much more interesting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Captain:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Here we have a book a that I just recently picked up and read. It’s been sitting on our family’s bookshelves for years, but I never really had any desire to peek between it’s pages. It looked a little more like a history book than I would have liked, (don’t get me wrong, I love reading history, but there was just something unappealing about this one. Don’t ask me why \ud83d\ude09 ) A few months ago I decided to read it. It was much better than I thought it would be! A few parts weren’t my favorite, but it was very entertaining, nevertheless. The main character is a man named Captain Percy. He has many adventures in this book, mostly the fictional kind, but there is enough of real history mixed in to make it, for the most part, believable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t want to spoil anything for you, so that’s all I’ll say. \ud83d\ude42 I hope you read it for yourself! Here’s a link to a version<\/a> that looked pretty good. I couldn’t find the exact copy that I have, however. If you happen to find it for yourself, I would suggest getting it instead of using the link I’ve provided. And as always, use your best discretion with whatever you read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
