Hello! It’s Simply Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I thought we’d venture outside for today’s post. I decided I’d show you around my little flower patch. Keep in mind that this is what it’s like in earlier Spring, so it doesn’t look like much, yet. \ud83d\ude09 Pictured above is my little garden. It’s housed in an old water trough that was found on the property. I like the “rustic flair” of it. The little rooster plaque was a gift from awhile back. It’s just hanging out there until we can repaint it. \ud83d\ude42 Let’s take a closer look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Flower Patch:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This picture shows what is commonly referred to as a patch of dirt. That’s only on the surface, however. I planted a peony root here. Hopefully it will sprout soon. \ud83d\ude42 I can’t remember the exact variety, but I feel like it was Sarah Bernhardt<\/em>. They should bloom in a beautiful pink shade. Perfect for the Summer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These strangely thin-looking plants are Gladiolus. I actually planted them last year, but they are Perennials and, therefore, came back. A little over thirty sprouts have made a re-apperance, and as you can see, range in size. I can’t remember what variety I planted, but I do remember them being pretty when is full-bloom!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the patch of dirt at the front of the water trough I hope to plant some Forget-Me-Not seeds. I don’t have any experience with those, but I don’t think they are too difficult. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future plans for the garden include planting more flowers, (which means I would need a lot more space…) and convincing my younger brother to build me a trellis (for Moonflowers and Cypress Vine, etc) but I still like it as it is now. In a future post, perhaps I’ll share about the much bigger family garden, which includes different varieties of vegetables, fruits, and a few flowers for some extra charm. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wild Flowers:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After that little garden tour, I thought that now I’d show a few pictures of some of the wild flowers that have bloomed this Spring. I thought they were too pretty not to!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These Japanese Roses grow wild all around the property. Aren’t they pretty?<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

These are blooms on the Buckeye tree in our front yard. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\"\"
These Red Clovers are beautiful covering the fields out front and to the side of the house. A sea of feathery red blooms mingled with bright yellow buttercups. Quite a statement!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
