About Knitting and Crocheting
Today we’re talking about knitting and crocheting. At least, the supplies you need to do them. Let’s get started!
This week I had a slight dilemma over what to post for Simply Saturday. The problem is the projects I’m working on are gifts. I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise, since the recipient might possibly stumble across this blog. 😉 So I decided that instead I would share a few of the recent knitting and crochet tools I’ve purchased.
About knitting and crocheting supplies:
First up, my new crocheting supplies. I bought this in a set from Amazon. It’s not the usual brand I would buy, but the quality seems pretty good. (Oh, and these photos are missing a few of the pieces from the set. I forgot to get the stitch markers out of my knitting bag. One of the crochet needles is also missing, since it’s being used in another project.) I was pretty happy with all of the pieces that came with this set. The needles range from 10.0mm to 2.0mm. Those are probably all the sizes I’ll need any time soon. 😉 It also came with these neat little scissors, a measuring tape, needles, etc. And, here’s a link to my last crochet project post.
Next up, knitting. I bought a “I taught myself to knit” set from Walmart. I’d only done a little knitting, and when I saw this set I figured it would be good to get some more supplies. This set actually came with two sets of needles, but the other set (a size 6) is otherwise employed at the moment. 😉 Some of these things I wasn’t sure what to do with, but I eventually found out. The row counter is actually very useful. I was pretty excited when I found out what it was. 🙂
Well, that’s all for now! Have you bought any knitting or crochet supplies lately? ~ Emily
