Spotlighting Authors

Happy Saturday y’all! It’s been a busy few days, but I’m here today to spotlight a few authors. Let’s get started!

Sara Ella

First up, we have Sara Ella and her series, The Curious Realities. Aside from being beautiful books, they feature an imaginative take on the already zany world of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

The story follows the young girl Alice Liddell as she navigates, with more or less success, the normal world and that of the Wonderland Reality. No doubt you’ve seen this series pop up on bookstagram. If you’ve been wondering about whether or not you should give it a read, here’s another recommendation!

S.D. Smith and J.C. Smith

I read the Green Ember series when I was sick with Chicken Pox a few years ago. Besides the fact that I will always associate those two things in the future, I will also always think fondly of how the series allowed me to think of something else when I was sick.

After reading the Green Ember series, I of course wanted to read the novel that S.D. Smith and his son wrote together. And I also really enjoyed it! I loved the real feel of it, and, even if it may be intended for a slightly younger audience, good books can be enjoyed by any age. Although you may receive strange looks when you talk about #Rabbitswithswords. 😉

Chuck Black

These last books hold a special place for me, since I have been enjoying Chuck Black’s books for many years, and also have the honor of being a part of his street team.

I started, years ago, with the Knights series, then moved on to the Kingdom series, Wars of the Realm (my personal favorite) and also the newest series, The StarLore Legacy.

Many of the books are written in allegorical form, or deal with the issues and struggles of today in an imaginative, creative way. I would recommend starting with the Knights or Wars of the Realm series’.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you read any of these books already? Or others by these authors? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! ~ Emily
