Green Striped dress for Christmas

Green Striped dress for Christmas

Hello! This blog post is going up a little later than I prefer, but that’s just how the day went. Today we’ll be taking a look at the outfit I wore to church yesterday. It happens to feature a green striped dress. 😉

The first thing you might notice is that these photos were taken indoors. It turned out yesterday that we just weren’t able to take pictures before dark, hence these photos taken in our hallway. Considering the setting, I don’t think they turned out too badly. 🙂

On to the outfit: This dress is actually a new purchase of mine. It’s a little different than most of my other dresses. The midi length, bright green color, etc. Oddly, I actually like it. It’s super comfortable as well, which is always nice. I did have to do a little finagling with the neckline, however. It was too low to wear on it’s own, so I used a handy dandy little piece of an old slip. I attached it with safety pins. It works surprisingly well.

And of course, no outfit of mine would be complete without a shrug or sweater! (I’m kidding, but I really do wear a lot of shrugs and sweaters. Maybe I should branch out a little… 😉 )

For my hair I went pretty simple. Just pulling back the sections of hair on either side of my face, twisting it, and arranging it as you can see in the photo. I used bobby pins to keep it in place. I also used leave-in conditioner to add some more definition to my hair.

(Sorry for the blurry photos. We did what we could! 🙂 ) For jewelry I went pretty simple. I chose red jewelry, to keep with the Christmas theme, naturally.

Striped Green Dress Outfit Details:

The dress, I just recently brought from Belk. The shrug is from BJ’s. And my Grandma gave me the boots. I think one of my sisters gave me the jewelry.

That’s all for now! I hope you enjoyed this post. Are you ready for Christmas? ~ Emily
