Polka Dot Dress
Hello! Today on Modest Monday we’ll be taking a look at an outfit I wore to church recently, a polka dot dress. Let’s get started!
This dress was a recent find at a thrift store. I was happy to find it, since I was planning on playing in our church’s spring concert and the color scheme was black and white, with touches of red. This worked for most of those specifications! And I didn’t actually end up adding any red, in case you’re wondering about that. 😉
The thing about this dress was that it was actually too short and too low in the neck. So I broke out one of the white sheets I bought specifically to use as fabric and went to work to add length to the skirt and fabric at the neckline. I don’t think it’s too obvious that I did so, and now I have a perfectly wearable, comfortable dress after just a little altering!
For my hair I went pretty simple; just a half-up/half-down style, using a small claw clip to keep it in place.
Polka Dot Dress Outfit Details:
The dress is Old Navy brand, with alterations done by myself. The shoes were from Walmart. And I borrowed the pearl necklace from my mom; I’m not sure where the earrings came from. 😉 The stick-on nails are from Lily and Fox.
Well, that’s all for now. I hope you enjoyed this post! Do you like wearing polka dots? ~ Emily

[…] last up we have this outfit, which I first posted not too long ago. This one was a little outside of my comfort zone, but I actually really liked it. […]
