Flower Tour
Hello! Today on Simply Saturday (to take a break from the numerous sewing posts 😉 ) I thought I’d share a “flower tour” of a few flowers we have growing around our property. Let’s get started!
First up we have my little garden (which I posted about last year here). For some reason, nothing seems to grow here very well besides Gladiolus. I’m not sure why that is, but at least the flowers are pretty (if a little top-heavy)! The second photo is of an unopened flower.
On the other side of my garden, I have a sunflower and Cypress vine, which should hopefully have blooms soon.
Venturing farther out into the other gardens, we have a few sunflowers (this one complete with a tiny bee in the center 😉 ) planted on the outskirts of the herb garden.
And then a few beds of Cosmos.
Also in the herb garden are some beds of Calendula, which are actually quite pretty; especially with the morning dew still on the petals. 🙂
And then moving out of the herb garden, we’ll walk on over to where some Gladiolus are blooming beside an old wooden fence.
After that, we’ll move on over to see a view of the wild Black-eyed Susans growing down in the valley. Those clumps of yellow are what I’m talking about. 😉
Nearer the house is a Hydrangea bush in full bloom.
I suppose I’ll leave off here. The flowers I’ve included in this post are not all of the ones I could have added, but this post would have a been a little bit too long if I had kept adding photos! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this “flower tour”. 😉 ~ Emily
