The old and new
Hello! Here today I’m sharing the outfit I wore to church on Resurrection Sunday just last week.
I actually wore two outfits that Sunday. The first one was less fancy and more functional. I wore it to a sunrise service hosted by some friends of ours. I didn’t get pictures of that outfit, since it was dark when we left for the service and I changed into the outfit you see pictured above almost as soon as we got back home, in preparation for heading to church. Just picture a denim skirt, blue shirt, boots, and big jacket (Yes, it was a lot colder that morning than it was later in the day!) and you’ll see what I wore. 😉
I was pleased at how easily this outfit fell together. I just pulled out several pieces, a few new ones that I had not worn before such as the skirt and necklace, thinking that they would work well with each other. This is probably the most coordinated outfit color-wise that I’ve ever worn. 😉 As you can probably tell, the blue and black from the tank and shrug are pulled from the skirt design, as well as the bright necklace and tan, faux-suede heels.
Outfit details: The black shrug is a recent purchase from Bj’s. The tank has already been featured here on the blog several times (an old staple that proves how versatile of an item a tank can be) and was purchased from J.C.Penney’s. The skirt and earrings (which you can’t really see) were handed down to me from my mom. The necklace was given to me by one of my older sisters, I think. It actually has little orange and yellow pieces on it that match the skirt also. 🙂 The heels are from J.C.Penney a few years ago.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Happy Monday! ~ Emily
