Mustard and Burgundy
Hello! Today I have another outfit (and hairstyle) to share with you.
I wore this outfit to church a few weeks ago. If I’m remembering correctly, the various elements of it fell together pretty easily. The shirt needed a tank top, so I picked one to match. The skirt complimented the mustard color, and then the black shoes go with pretty much anything. Easy!
Plus, I had just purchased the shirt at a local thrift store, so I wanted to try and incorporate it into an outfit. This shirt is a little different compared to what I usually wear. The mustard yellow color, the square neckline, the flower design, etc. Not because I don’t like those elements, but only because I’d never found anything with that combination that I actually liked. I did think that the outfit as a whole might look a little too fall-ish, but I think the light tank-top brightens it up enough for Spring.
And now onto what I did with my hair. (Oh, and if you notice that my hair looks a little stringy, that’s only because it’s wet from the water I sprayed on it) This hairstyle was pretty quick and simple to get done before heading out for church. I separated the top and bottom half, then split the top half again. Then, I braided those two top pieces, pulling them to the back of my head and securing them with little claw clips. (I’m pretty sure the clips are from the dollar store) After that I spritzed the bottom half of my hair with water and used leave-in conditioner to tame and define it. And that’s it!
Outfit Details:
The shirt, as I said, I bought at the thrift store. The brand is Susina. The tank top is from J.C.Penney’s. The skirt was purchased from Amazon. In fact I have the exact same skirt in green, but it stains very easily and I haven’t been able to get the stains out. Otherwise, I would have worn that one with this shirt. The shoes, earrings, and necklace are from Walmart. The bracelet was given to me by one of my older sisters.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Have you styled any new clothes lately? ~ Emily
