It’s Finally Fall: Sweaters and Dresses
So, by this time, you’re probably fully aware that fall is my favorite time of the year. Among other good things, it’s finally not so hot, to the point that I can wear one of my favorite fall (and summer) combinations: sweaters and dresses. I’ll be sharing an example of that outfit, plus a hairstyle, in today’s post.
This dress has seen its share of wears. It used to be for church, but then got a little too pilled and worn-looking. It’s now just an everyday wear-around-the-house dress, and just happens to coordinate with one of my favorite sweaters. (Oh, and you might notice that I rolled up the sleeves of my sweater. I pretty much always do that with long sleeves.)
For this hairstyle, I began by separating the front portion of my hair from the back portion. Then I scrunched the back portion together in a sort of bun, securing it with bobby pins. I then took the “bangs” portion of my hair from the front, curling the right side under the bun, the left, over, and securing the ends with my little claw clips. The last step was to make sure nothing stuck out weirdly, and if it did, I fixed it with bobby pins. And that’s it!
Oh, and you may be thinking this hairstyle looks a little old-fashioned. It may or may not be, I don’t really know. I just like to try new things with my hair, and if it looks nice, does it matter that I look like I could be in Little Women? That’s actually kind of a plus, in my book. 😉
Sweaters and Dresses Outfit Details:
The sweater is from Old Navy, and is actually pretty nice. The dress is from Amazon. The lovely, fashionable boots are from Walmart. 😉 And the earrings were a graduation gift.
So, what are your thoughts on sweaters and dresses? I hope you enjoyed this post! ~ Emily
