Denim Jackets and Maxi Skirts
Today we’ll be taking a look at an outfit that includes both denim jackets and maxi skirts. Let’s get started!
(And before I get started, let me just say that I have no idea why I look so pale in these photos. I mean, I’m pale, but I’m not that pale. 😉 ) I wore this outfit to church a couple weeks ago. It was probably a little warm for the day, but as soon as fall began (and even before) I’ve been wanting to dress for it.
On a slightly different topic, I still don’t think I’ve found the perfect combination for this skirt. However, I do think that it’s better than the last outfit I put together with it. That one didn’t even make it onto the blog. 😉 I don’t know, something about the overall fit of this outfit just looks a little awkward as well. What do you think?
I do like how the colors look together, though. Very autumnal. 😉
Something I’ve had on my mind lately? I probably spend way to much time thinking about clothes, and how I look, what I wear, etc. Having a blog that is partly about clothing probably doesn’t help with that (and comes with it’s own set problems) 🙂 Of course, being a young woman, there is a certain amount of that expected. But, there’s a fine balance between caring too much about how you present yourself, just enough, or not enough. And sometimes, if I’m feeling particularly unhappy with how I look, I just have to tell myself that it is not the most important thing. How am I supposed to be the young woman God means me to be if I’m held back by caring too much about how I look?
And another reason: everyone out there is self-conscious about something. I’m not the only one, so why worry so much about myself? Anyway, just something I’ve been thinking about lately. 🙂
Denim Jackets and Maxi Skirts Outfit Details:
I think the denim jacket might be from J.C.Penney. The tank is, too. And the skirt is from ThredUp. Shoes (that you can’t see) are from Walmart. The necklace and earrings were gifts, I believe.
Well, that’s all for now. I hope I didn’t ramble on too much. 😉 What are your thoughts on caring about how you look? ~ Emily
