Blue Dress + An Easy Curly Hairstyle

Hello again! Today I’ll be sharing an easy curly hairstyle, plus an outfit for church.

With this outfit, one piece kind of built up into the next one. For example, I wanted to do something different with my hair, and the dress was just an easy choice. For some reason it kind of felt like I should have been going to an evening concert in the 50’s or something, what with the dress length and the pearls… That’s probably just me though. 😉 Oh, and the best part of this dress? It has pockets! It took me only a few minutes to decide on an outfit for church when I saw this dress hanging in my closet. It was a no-brainer. 🙂

For my hair, I was working off of this tutorial. Though, my hair didn’t quite turn out as well as hers. Somehow I can never get my hair to look like it does in the tutorials. Especially when I try to braid my hair. It just looks like… a fuzzy rope. Anyway, it was still fun to do something different. 😉

Plus, this hairstyle held up to two hours of playing Ultimate Frisbee later in the day (which involved a lot of running and jostling around). I’d call that a success! If you’d like to see a more casual updo, I’ll link to one here and another variation here.

Outfit Details: The pearls I borrowed from my mom. I’m not sure where the blue earrings came from. The dress is from Amazon. The quality isn’t the best, but it’s not too bad. And the shoes are from Walmart.
