Uncommon Dress and Gold
Today I’ll be sharing an outfit featuring an uncommon dress, which is accented with gold. Let’s get started!
Before I begin, I’d like to say that the reason for the late post yesterday, and the absence from Instagram, is because of how very busy we’ve been for the last few days. I thought I’d just give a little explanation as to where I’ve been. It was a good couple of days, with dancing and game-playing, Ultimate Frisbee, and spending time with friends. π
Now onto the outfit. I wasn’t really sure about this dress. The shirt and skirt sewn together as they are aren’t usually my kind of thing. I thought it did look better with the sweater, though. I’m still considering cutting the skirt part off, however, and just wearing it as a skirt by itself. I accented with gold, since I thought the dress would look nice with a long necklace. Gold was the only color I had. π Sometimes you just have to work with what you already own.
For my hair, I went pretty simple. Just taking a hairband and putting my hair in a ponytail. Then I pulled my hair through the band a second time, but only pulling it halfway through, to make a bun. The next step was just to make the edges cleaner using bobby pins. This hairstyle is really easy to do, and I think it looks pretty nice, if I do say so myself. π I usually do this hairstyle for work days, but I figured that it would also work for church.
Uncommon Dress Outfit Details:
The sweater was from BJ’s. The dress from Amazon. The jewelry was from Walmart, I believe. And the flip-flops, T.J.Maxx.
Well, that’s all for now. I hope you enjoyed it! What do you think of this “uncommon dress”? ~ Emily
