How I Decorated for Christmas: Part Two
Hello again! Today I’ll be continuing last Saturday’s post with How I Decorated for Christmas: Part Two. Let’s get started!
Jumping right into it, here’s what I placed on top of my second book shelf. It’s not the prettiest Christmas tree, but at night when the fairy lights are on, you can’t tell how sparse the branches are. 😉 These ornaments are the ones my Grandma gave me. They’re a little heavy for the branches, but they don’t (usually) fall off. 😉 The bouquet of cream-colored flowers are my bridesmaid bouquet from my second oldest sister’s wedding.
On the front of my second bookshelf I hung these little stockings on the doorknobs. Technically this thing is actually a tv cabinet, but I’d rather put books in it! It actually used to be about six inches deeper, but my brother cut about that much off the back for me and made more shelves for the inside. I really like how it turned out. 🙂
On my desk I have a third Christmas tree. This one may actually be my favorite, with the simple bow and lights. It’s especially pretty at night, in my opinion. I’ll insert a picture of that below.
On the other side of the top shelf on my desk, I put a candy jar of peppermint sticks and that cute little candy-printed star. I don’t really like a ton of decorations everywhere, but little touches like this, I think, bring it together. 🙂
To the left of my desk I hung up this old stocking. It’s not my favorite piece, but I thought that I might as well use it. 😉
And then inside of the tv-cabinet-turned-book-shelf I have these two little candles and snowman. They can be seen through the glass of the doors, obviously. The snowman may or not be a salt shaker… 😉
Well, that’s all for how I decorated for Christmas, part two. I hope you enjoyed it. Are you finished decorating? Or do you still keep adding pieces, like me? 😉 ~ Emily
