Christmas-y, with Red Boots
Hello! Today on Modest Monday I have a more Christmas-y outfit, which just happens to feature red boots. Let’s get started!
My brother and I weren’t able to get very many photos, since it was cold and windy and we were on the edge of being late for church. That said, let’s talk about the outfit. 🙂
As it happens, you can’t actually see my red boots in this photo. I promise you, they are there. 😉 This is the outfit I wore to church yesterday. I didn’t want to go too crazy with the red and green, so I did basic colors (black and grey) as the base and added color from there.
The shrug is another of the pieces that I wasn’t too sure of when I tried it on. For one thing, it’s several sizes too big. For another, I wasn’t sure that the tied look was really that great. By the end of the day, however, I was pleased to find that I really liked it!
The skirt is one I’ve been wearing often lately. (Here’s another time I wore it, as well.) It’s goes with almost everything, which is great. 🙂
In this photo you can see the jewelry a little better. The necklace and earrings were actually made by my sister. She made them for all of the bridesmaids in her wedding. I haven’t worn them together very often since the wedding (five years ago 😉 ) but I thought that yesterday was the perfect day to bring them out again!
Christmas, with Red Boots Outfit Details:
I believe the shrug was from J.C.Penney. The shirt and skirt were probably thrift store finds. I’m not sure. The boots were from Amazon.
I think that’s all for now! Do you like wearing red and green? Or would you rather just decorate with red and green. 😉 ~ Emily
