Purple Stripes + Denim
Hello again! Here, as promised in the last Modest Monday post, I have a casual outfit to share with you!

This is a simple Spring outfit I wore a few weeks ago. Most of the nieces and nephews were over that day, so it was perfect for running around the yard after them!

Details of the outfit: I go off and on about liking the striped shirt I’m wearing in the photos above. I bought it (and two others in different colors) at J.C. Penney a while back. It’s not made out of the best material, and sometimes I just feel less-than-put-together when I wear it. On this day, though, it seemed like it worked with the skirt.
Speaking of the skirt, this is another one I made myself. I’m not sure I’ve ever actually found a denim skirt this long in a store, and even if I had, it would most likely have been out of my price range. I found that making denim skirts wasn’t very difficult, plus you get the satisfaction of wearing a quality piece of clothing you created yourself.

For shoes I’m just wearing my Summer boots from Walmart. I find those the most practical for going out in the mud and dirt. (Unless, of course, I’m barefoot altogether.
I’m not wearing any jewelry (besides my earrings) for this outfit. Usually I just don’t think of it, unless I’m going to Church, etc. Since taking these outfit pictures I’ve tried to incorporate a few more pieces into my everyday wear, though usually just an easy bracelet or simple necklace.
Anyway, I hope you have a good Monday! See you later ~ Emily
