Lies Young Women Believe

Hello again! Today on Reading Wednesday I’ll be posting a book a little different than the ones I usually talk about: Lies Young Women Believe. Let’s get started!

I picked this book up at a used book sale at a convention. I read it just recently, and thought it was pretty good, hence why it’s making it’s way onto the blog!

I will say it was a little hard for me to get past the format of the book. It has a lot of extra boxes and bubbles on the pages that have different information on whatever the topic is, as well as the main writing of the book on each page. I find that very distracting (not to mention rather juvenile looking) when I’m trying to simply read the book! But as I went on, it became less noticeable.

Anyway, the book tackles many of the most widely believed lies surrounding topics such as God, relationships, faith, media, and so on. Many of the sections I found eye-opening, while others reinforced the truths I already know.
