Tucked-in Shirt and Denim
Hello! Today on Modest Monday we’ll be taking a look at an outfit featuring a tucked-in shirt and denim. Let’s get started!
This is the first outfit that I put together using my recently altered skirt (I’ll put a link to those sewing posts here and here.) I don’t normally tuck in my shirts, since usually I feel like it’s just too much hassle and not very flattering on me anyway. With this skirt, however, I thought it looked a lot better tucked in. It was also pretty easy to wear like that, which is always a plus!
For accessories I went pretty light. Just this pair of blue earrings that coordinated with my skirt.
For my hair I was experimenting with trying to make a bun that didn’t make me look like I didn’t have any hair. If that makes sense. 😉 Sometimes if I try using actual hair accessories for buns, it flattens my hair against my head, which I don’t really like the look of. So with this hairstyle, I pulled my hair through a hair elastic once, then arranged the rest of my hair in a rough bun shape, using bobby pins to hold it in place. It still needed some work, but I liked it anyway. 🙂
Tucked-in Shirt and Denim Outfit Details:
The shirt was from J.C.Penney. The skirt was from the thrift store, but was altered by me. The earrings were hand-me-downs.
Well, that’s all for now. I hope you enjoyed this post! ~ Emily
