Silver, Blue, and Black
Hello again! I hope you’ve had a good Monday so far!
Here I’m sharing a simple spring outfit I wore a few weeks ago. It’s an easy combination of comfy staple pieces, but I think that the different elements of matching shoes and and jewelry make it a little more interesting than the shirt and skirt would be alone.
I’ve posted these shoes here on the blog before, but I thought I’d take a moment to say a few words about them. Lately I’ve gotten a little tired of wearing flats that didn’t support my feet and weren’t very practical if you were walking anywhere other than a paved, clean road. I’ve had these shoes for awhile, but never really wore them until recently. I discovered that they are a lot more comfortable and rugged than my old flats. You could go shopping or hiking in these things! They were on clearance at Costco a few years ago, but you can get them from other places online also. The brand is JBU by Jambu.
Outfit details: The shirt is from Old Navy. It’s a little faded and worn now, since I’ve worn it many times over the last years. The skirt is from my mom, and I’m not sure where she bought it. The bracelet was a graduation gift. The brand is Alex and Ani.
I actually mixed two different kinds of metals with this outfit, silver and gold. I read in a fashion book once that you can mix two kinds of metals as long as you have two elements (such as my silver necklace and bracelet) of one metal in a mix of three, the third element being my gold necklace. I don’t really follow the “fashion rules” such as that, but that little one has stuck with me for a few years 🙂.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Talk soon ~ Emily
