A Birthday Pig
Hello! It’s a beautiful day today, just right for another Simply Saturday post.

This project I completed over the last week or so. I made it as a gift for one of my nieces, who’s second birthday was this past Wednesday. Although it’s a little hard to tell with toddlers, I think she liked it!
I really loved the design of this pig. It seemed to go a lot faster crocheting it, since the nose, head, body, and tail were all one piece. Anything that I don’t have to make separately and sew on later is a plus in my book. A few of the instructions didn’t quite turn out right, but they were easily fixed. (Note: Pay close attention to round 45 of the body. All it needs is a little adjusting and it should work out nicely.) The pattern was easy to read, for the most part, and I think wouldn’t be too difficult for the novice crocheter.

I think that this pig might be my favorite of the Amigurumi animals I’ve made. There’s just something sweet and lovable about it. The little curled tail and ears…so cute!
I’ll link to the pattern here, in case you want to try your hand at it. I promise, it’s not as difficult as you may think! And if you’re interested in other crocheted animals, here’s a link to another post I’ve done on the subject.
Well, I hope I’ve given you some crafting, gift, inspiration. Have fun! ~ Emily
