Moss Green + Turquoise
Hello! It’s Modest Monday once more.
Today I’ll be sharing a casual outfit. I wore this a few weeks ago, and though you can’t tell in the photos, it was way too cold to be wearing short sleeves and no jacket. But, the flowers made such a nice background, I was okay with freezing for a little while. 😉
For this outfit I went with simple pieces of clothing with a turquoise pop of color. I don’t usually wear very bright colors, but with the unusual front slits on the shirt, I knew whichever tank I wore would be visible. So, I thought, why not add an interesting color for a change?
This hairstyle is pretty self-explanatory. I simply pulled back the top half of hair and secured it with a hair clip, then used leave-in conditioner and water to tame the rest of my hair. In my opinion, even normal hairstyles like this look more interesting if you have curly hair. That could just be me, though. 😉 What do you think?
I still can’t quite decide if these earring are too big and bulky to be worn very often. I’m not really a fan of the “stretched ear” look. Recently I’ve been on the lookout for large, light earrings. Ones that aren’t heavy, but still noticeable. I have found a few at J.C.Penney, and they will probably be featured on the blog sometime soon. 🙂
Outfit Details:
The shirt was a recent purchase from T.J.Maxx. I was actually really surprised when I found it, since usually I don’t like a lot of the clothing they sell there. But, I loved the color, and, it’s 100% linen!
Moving on. The tank-top is a hand-me-down from one of my older sisters. I have no idea where she bought it. The skirt I made myself, with fabric from Joann’s. The shoes are from Walmart. Oh, and the earrings are from the same older sister. I don’t know where she bought those, either… 😉
So what do you think? And, what are your favorite types of earrings? ~ Emily
