Lime + New Shoes
Hello again! It’s Modest Monday.
Let’s get started. 🙂 I wore this casual outfit a few weeks ago, right around when it started feeling like Summer. You know, 90 degree weather and all that. Not my favorite. However, I do like taking out the Spring/Summer clothes that haven’t been worn since last year. (Oh, and Summer is also the time for farmer tans on my arms, so please ignore that 😉 ) Of course, when the weather turns, you also start finding clothes that haven’t been worn in a long while. As a result, new outfit combinations are dreamed up! (And clothes are also donated to the thrift store. Apparently, one’s taste in clothes really does change. 😉 )
On the Topic on New Shoes:
For awhile now, I’ve been on the lookout for a pair of nice, comfortable flip-flops. It’s actually been several years since I’ve owned any, so I wanted to change that. It was a little tricky finding the perfect pair, since I didn’t want the foam ones that usually fall apart pretty quickly and don’t really support my feet at all. Recently, I was pleased to find the pair of flip-flops, that I’m wearing in these outfit photos, at T.J.Maxx. They’re comfortable, nice enough to be worn almost anywhere, and go with pretty much anything in my closet. The brand is B.O.C, if you’re curious. 🙂
I should probably say that I don’t usually wear this shirt. It’s not a color I’m usually drawn to, the sleeves are a little too short for my taste, and I have to wear a tank top with it, but for some reason I still keep it. On the day I wore it, I decided that I shouldn’t keep a bunch of stuff in my closet that I never wear. So, it was either wear it, or give it away. What do you think of it?
Outfit Details:
Firstly, Merona brand shirt, purchased at a thrift store. The skirt is Baccini brand, also from a thrift store. The tank top is from my older sister. And the shoes, as already mentioned, are from T.J.Maxx.
