Casual for a Change

Hello again! Today I’ll be sharing a comfy, casual outfit. It’s been a while since I’ve posted one. 🙂

This outfit may not be very exciting, but the lighting is pretty enough to make up for that. 😉 Anyway, back to the post. I wore this outfit last week, but I started wearing this particular combination a few months ago. I thought that the purple and the brown complimented each other. I wasn’t very imaginative with jewelry that day, however. Just a pair of earrings (which, surprisingly, I haven’t blogged before. I was sure that I had…) and a necklace. Just a simple outfit that you can get a lot done in, even if you are wearing a skirt.

Oh, and a little story about this photo shoot? I walked outside, camera in hand, to where my brother was waiting for me. I asked him if he would take outfit pictures for me. He took one look at my outfit and said “that outfit?” He didn’t actually think there was anything wrong with it, he just liked making me think that there was. Ah, brothers. 😉

This skirt is one that I altered a little while back. It used to have a third panel of fabric, but it fell at an awkward length. So, I cut it off, then sewed along the bottom edge to keep it from fraying and falling apart. Now I wear it pretty often. And, more importantly, no one is the wiser that I changed it at all. 😉

Comfy, Casual Outfit Details:

The shirt is from J.C.Penney. The skirt is Route 66 brand. The earrings, that you can’t really see, are from J.C.Penney too. I’ll leave a link to them. The necklace was a birthday gift. And, obviously, I’m not wearing any shoes. Otherwise I’d tell you where they were from. 😉

Well, that’s it for now. What do you wear on casual days? ~ Emily

    • […] With this outfit, I went simple and comfortable. Though, now that I think about it, that’s pretty much what I do with every outfit. 😉 I chose the tank top because it’s one of my favorite colors to wear, and the skirt because I hadn’t worn it to church yet. The shrug was an obvious combination with the tank. I accessorized with a bracelet, pair of earrings (all of which I received for my birthday a couple of weeks ago) and a necklace that you can see up close here. […]
