Classy Maxi Skirt Outfit
Hello again! It’s Modest Monday. Today I’ll be sharing a classy, maxi skirt outfit.
When I had been first thinking of wearing this skirt again, I was simply going to wear a black t-shirt with it. However, I thought that would be a little plain. As you can see, I instead paired my trusty white sweater with a black tank instead. That raised it up a notch.
You might remember how last time I wore this skirt I paired it with a bright shirt for a summery feel. As you can see, you can take the same skirt and create a whole different look, with a few changes. 🙂 In fact, this outfit probably looked a little too formal to be walking around Costco in after church… 😉
I styled my hair into what has been becoming a standby hairstyle for me. It’s easy, but still looks nice. All I did was take one of those little kids hairbands (the rubber band things) and pulled the top half of my hair back and into a ponytail. Then I flipped the ponytail, both hiding the hairband and giving my hair a nice little twist. The last step was to spritz my hair with some water, then work some leave-in conditioner into it. Easy as that!
In this photo, you sort of see the necklace I’m wearing. It’s the first initial of my name, and was a birthday gift a couple of years ago. It used to have a very pretty, delicate chain that came with it. Emphasis on delicate. Turns out it was no match for a certain small niece that pulled on it a little too hard… As a result, the necklace sat with my other jewelry, broken. It wasn’t until I was doing some much needed organizing that I found a chain that I could switch out with the broken one! I’m not sure why I didn’t think of doing that before… It’s now become a favorite necklace again.
Classy Maxi Skirt Outfit Details:
The sweater is of unknown origin. 😉 The tank top is from J.C.Penney (and is worn backwards). The skirt was a recent purchase at a thrift shop, and the shoes are from Walmart. Oh, and the earrings and bracelet were graduation gifts.
Well, that’s all for now! What are some ways you pair the same pieces to create new outfits? ~ Emily
