New Shirt + Handmade Denim Skirt

Today I’ll be sharing a combination made up of my newly acquired tee and handmade denim skirt. Oh, and sorry about how late this post is getting up. It’s been a busy day, and I haven’t had a chance before now to sit down and write. Anyway, here I am at last!

This is one of the outfits I wore on our weekend vacation. (I talked about what I packed here.) I wore this outfit for a morning hike. Due to the nature of some of the activities later in the day, (frisbee playing and miniature golf) I switched to a pair of shorts. I did change back into this skirt at night, however, when we sang around the campfire. Yes, we had some pretty busy days on our vacation, too. 😉

I really like the composition of the colors in these photos. Something about the color of the shirt, and the mossy green… 😉 I convinced my brother to take the photos while we were on a hike one of the mornings. 🙂

Now, to a little reasoning behind the outfit. I thought that a shorter skirt would work better with this relatively long shirt. Pairing it with a long skirt might have been a little…I don’t know…bland, maybe. And my shoes are just the ratty ones I wear for hiking, usually in mud. There’re dirty and kind of falling apart, but hey, they’re comfy! 😉

New Shirt + Handmade Denim Skirt Outfit Details:

The shirt was a recent purchase from Costco. The skirt, obviously, is one of my handmade denim skirts. (I talked about another one here.) The necklace is one that my brother gave me for my birthday. (Well, gave is such a strong word. I picked out the necklace and asked if he wanted to buy it for me, for my birthday. 😉 )

Well, that’s all for now! Where do you like to vacation? Mountains, beach, desert? 🙂 ~ Emily
