Belted Maxi Skirt Outfit

Hello! Today I’m here with a look that’s a little out of the norm for me, a belted maxi skirt outfit. Let’s get started!

(Sorry about how dark the pictures are. It was raining outside.) Anyway, when I say that this outfit is “out of the norm for me”, I mean it. The belt, the color of the sweater, even the locket necklace. The belt was what I was the most unsure about. I had already put together the rest of the outfit, but thought it looked kind of bland. So, I added the belt. I still wasn’t sure about whether or not it looked stupid, but I decided to go with it.

I was pleasantly surprised when I actually received several compliments on the outfit! Even several on the belt itself. I guess I should try new things more often. Usually, I lose my nerve before I actually leave the house. But, it’s probably also true that some of my combinations are flops. 😉

Here I have a better picture of the hairstyle I tried to share in this post. The picture in that post wasn’t very good, so here we are again. The hairstyle itself is pretty self-explanatory. I just twisted back a bit of my hair on one side and used a claw clip to keep it in place. And used a leave-in conditioner and water to bring some definition into the rest of my hair. Easy!

The sweater was from Target, I think. I’m not sure where the black shirt came from. 😉 The maxi skirt is from Walmart. And I’m not actually wearing shoes in these photos, but I believe I wore my black flats from Walmart.
