Plaid Jumper at Last
Hello! Today I’m finally sharing photos of what my plaid jumper actually looks like being worn. (I’ll leave a link to the sewing posts about the jumper here and here.) Let’s get started!
And here it is! I actually really like how it turned out. My favorite part? The POCKETS! I was probably annoying my family because I kept pointing out how much could fit into the them. Seriously though, why don’t more store-bought clothes have pockets in them? They’re so useful! But, I’ll get on with the post. 😉
I wore the jumper for the first time on Thanksgiving. (And yes, it was a little too cold outside for short sleeves, but we had to take photos of the jumper. 😉 )
Generally, I don’t wear outfits in this style, but something about the fabric and the pattern just went together. Plus, when I used to read the Fresh Modesty blog, I saw an outfit almost just like this. Ever since I’d wanted to recreate it. I never found a jumper in a store for what I wanted, so I just had to make it! 🙂
Here’s a closer look at the pockets and side detailing. It’s a little hard for me to judge (when looking at my own projects) whether or not something looks “homemade”. I suppose this outfit does look homemade, however, since several people asked if I made it. I don’t know, in my mind, looking homemade isn’t necessarily a good thing. What do you think?
Here’s a photo of the back detailing as well. I was pretty happy to remember about the shirt I’m wearing underneath the jumper. It had been sitting in my dresser for awhile, since I don’t really like how it looks as a regular shirt. But, it coordinates with this jumper perfectly!
Plaid Jumper Outfit Details: Not much to say here, really. 😉 The jumper was made by me, obviously. The shirt was from J.C.Penney, and the boots, Walmart.
Well, that’s all for now! What do you think of my latest completed project? Is it your style or not? ~ Emily
