Long Denim Skirt, Styled

Hello! Today I’ll be going a little out of order and showing the finished product of my last Simply Saturday post. (I say out of order because there are still two or three “in the making” posts to explain how I made it that need to be written.) In other words, my new long denim skirt, styled. Let’s get started!

(The shadows and sunlight in these photos are a little more obvious than usual. Just try to ignore them 😉 )

I didn’t do anything too groundbreaking with this outfit. Just a simple long sleeve shirt (I always roll up my sleeves) and my new skirt. I’ll tell you, I did enjoy wearing the new skirt. It has a really nice flow to it, and makes you want to run and twirl in a field. Which I may or may not have done. 😉 This shirt has become a new favorite of mine. The little lace detailing and button make it more interesting than a regular old t-shirt, without any fuss. I also love the color!

Here you can see the front and back of the skirt a little better. And don’t ask me why the first one is so crooked. I’m sure my brother had a reason. 😉 In these photos you can see the topstitching closer up, etc.

When we had finished taking the “outfit photos”, I convinced my brother to try and get some more artistic ones. That didn’t work out as well as I’d hoped. This is one of the best ones we got of me spinning around. The ones with me running aren’t worth showing. 😉

The photos might not have turned out how I’d hoped, but I still enjoyed the process. Even if it was a little frigid out there.

Long Denim Skirt, Styled Outfit Details:

The shirt I bought at the thrift store, but was originally from Walmart. The skirt (obviously) I made. The earrings are from Kroger.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Would you make your own clothes? ~ Emily
