Denim Jumper and Jellypops
Today on Modest Monday I’ll be sharing an outfit that features both a denim jumper and Jellypops. Let’s get started!
You might think that this jumper looks a little familiar. That’s because I made another jumper, using the same pattern, last year. I’ll link to that post here. I actually like this denim one much better than the green one. It can be worn with a lot more colors, and I think it just looks better in general. I also used the same fabric as the skirt I made a few weeks ago. It has a really nice drape and feel.
And if you’re thinking it looks like I’m wearing summer clothes in the middle of winter…I am. We had a few particularly warm days, but now it’s back to cold. It actually snowed a little yesterday. 😉
I had these shoes in mind to wear with this outfit, and it turned out that they coordinated really well! With the blue matching the jumper, obviously, and the white matching the shirt. When it gets a little warmer, I look forward to wearing this combination again!
It was a little windy as we were trying to take these photos, if you can’t tell. 😉
My favorite part of this outfit are the pockets. So few store-bought clothes (especially dresses) seem to have them, and even if they do, they tend to pull the outfit in weird ways. This more substantial denim holds up to pockets pretty well. Plus, the placement of the pockets doesn’t add any bulk to the hip area, which is sometimes a problem with store-bought pocket placement.
Denim Jumper and Jellypops Outfit Details:
The shirt is from J.C.Penney, and the Jellypop shoes are from Belk (those last ones, I might add, are very comfortable). The denim jumper I made myself, and the earrings were hand-me-downs.
That’s all for now! And by the way, Happy Valentine’s Day! ~ Emily

[…] So you may be thinking that this doesn’t look like a winter outfit. Well, it doesn’t, but it is! Where I live, it can be in the thirties one day and the sixties the next. Makes it a little difficult when it comes to deciding on what to wear. 😉 This outfit could easily be switched for colder weather, however. Just add a long sleeve shirt or sweater, leggings and boots. I’ll link to the original post here. […]
