Green Dress for Spring

Green Dress for Spring

Hello! Today we’ll be taking a look at an outfit I wore to church recently; more specifically, a green dress for spring. Let’s get started!

You may remember this dress from when I wore it back in December. For this combination, I changed up the shoes and jewelry. Oh, and for some reason this length and style of skirt paired with heels always makes me think of 20’s or 30’s fashion. I’m not sure if that’s historically accurate, however. 😉

This outfit actually was the result of another Sunday morning scramble to find a different outfit when the one I’d laid out the night before didn’t work out. Somehow I ended up with this green dress, which I’m thinking I should actually start wearing more often. It’s so comfortable!

And it also worked for reading in a hammock right after this photo shoot. 😉

I also wore a new pair of earrings I just recently acquired. They’re crawler style, which (ignoring the strange name) I actually really like. There’s just a little more to them than regular earrings, but they’re still easy to wear. I probably should wear them with my hair in a half-up/half-down style or something, however, since it’s a little hard to see them with my hair down. 😉

Green Dress for Spring Outfit Details:

I bought the dress from Belk. The shrug is from BJ’s, and the heels were purchased at the thrift store. The little piece of fabric at the neckline is just a section of an old slip that I safety pinned in place. I’m hoping to add a more permanent piece of fabric to the neckline, however, so I won’t have to fiddle with the piece of slip. The necklace was from my grandma, and the earrings, Walmart.

Well, that’s all for now. I hope you enjoyed this post. What colors do you wear most often? ~ Emily
