Rewriting History
Hello! Today on Reading Wednesday we’ll be taking a look at a novel I picked up a few months ago: Rewriting History. Let’s get started!
If you want a read that doesn’t take a lot of brainpower, but is still reasonably interesting, allow me to draw your attention to Rewriting History by Vera Dodge.
The protagonist, Mary Fisher, has retired in a quaint, coastal village in Cape Cod, named Ivy Bay. She’s also opened a mystery bookshop in her new home. Her family used to vacation in this quaint setting, which is a pertinent detail to the storyline.
At the beginning of this novel, Mary is hosting a special guest at the book shop: beloved mystery author Addison Hartley. She sees a familiar face in the crowd attending the event. That glimpse pulls her into a mystery involving her past. Add in a suspicious new employee, nervous friends, and a relaxing beach setting, and you have a book that, if not top-tier literature, is at least an engaging read. 😉
Where to find Rewriting History:
I’ll leave a link to the novel here. I’d also keep my eye out at thrift stores, since that’s where I’ve found many books like this one. 🙂 Happy Reading!
Well, that’s all for now. I hope you enjoyed this post! Until next time ~ Emily
