Add a Pinch of Good Food
Hello Again! Today I’ll be sharing another good cookbook recommendation.
The Add a Pinch cookbook has been a favorite in our family for awhile now. Every recipe my mom and I have tried has been delicious! Plus, they’re easy to follow, and include recipes that could be used for everyday cooking, not just special occasions. A few that my mom and I have tried out are the Easy Skillet Lasagna on page 75, Creamy Artichoke Chicken on page 68, Georgia Peach Crisp on page 208, the Roasted Venison Fillets on page 58…Anyway, you get the idea. 😉
A few recipes I’d like to try in the future: Southern Pimento Cheese on page 34, the Buttermilk Praline Cheesecake on page 201, and finally, the Tarragon Chicken Salad on page 82. Don’t those sound delicious?
I just recently used one of these recipes, the one for the Georgia Peach Crisp. It tasted very good, it just turned out a little darker than it was supposed to be, due to the flour I used being whole wheat. As a result, it didn’t look very appetizing. Just another example of not judging a book (or a crisp 😉 ) by how it first appears.
Oh, and if you’re looking for another good cookbook recommendation (or two) here’s a link to a previous post I wrote on the subject. And here is a link to the Add a Pinch cookbook.
Well, that’s all for now! I hope you’re inspired to try a few new recipes! Have you cooked anything interesting lately? ~ Emily
