Newly-altered Shirt and Patchwork Denim
Hello! Today on Modest Monday we’ll be taking a look at an outfit which includes both my newly-altered shirt and patchwork Denim Skirt. Let’s begin!
The shirt from this outfit was the subject of my last Simply Saturday post, and I posted about the making of the skirt here and here.
For this outfit I wanted something simple and easy to wear, since I would be cleaning and working around the house for much of the day. Cue the shirt that doesn’t need a tank top and skirt that was previously several pairs of ratty work pants! It’s actually pretty great about the skirt, since I don’t have to worry about messing it up. It’s already been worked-in!
Oh, and as is the case with many of these outfits, these boots would not usually be worn with this combination. I always wear them (or something like them) around our property. But, if I had gone out in public I would’ve worn these shoes, or flip-flops if it’d been warmer.
Wanna know a secret? This shirt actually came in a pajama set. Does it look that way? I don’t think so. 😉 I thought it was too nice of a shirt to only wear to bed, so I altered it and now it’s a great warm weather shirt! (Or I can pair it with a sweater and wear it year round! )
Newly-altered Shirt and Patchwork Denim outfit details:
As I said before, the shirt is from a pajama set. From Costco, actually. The skirt I made myself, and the boots are Muck brand. The sweater was purchased from Old Navy, and the necklace, Walmart. The earrings I got at a gift shop on a vacation.
Well, that’s all for now! I hope you enjoyed this post. Are you looking forward to the warmer months? ~ Emily
