Spring Outfit for Church

Spring Outfit for Church

Hello! Today on Modest Monday we’ll be taking a look at a spring outfit for church. More specifically, what I wore to church yesterday. 🙂 Let’s get started!

With this outfit, I wanted something bright. Cue this very bright shirt, which I’ve posted previously here and here. I felt like I’d been wearing a lot of dark colors, and with the warmer weather, I just wanted to wear an outfit that felt like spring! I also wanted to incorporate this new brown skirt into the outfit: which ,I can already tell will probably be a staple in my wardrobe (if my mom will let me have it, that is 😉 ).

With this outfit I went with gold accessories. With gold hoops, necklace, bracelet, and the hardware on my sandals.

For my hair I went pretty simple, since I wanted something that would work for church and Ultimate Frisbee later in the afternoon (which worked out really well). I just used a claw clip and pulled back the top half of my hair, using leave-in conditioner and water to redefine my curls and tame frizz.

On a side note: I realized as we were taking these photos that I should have painted my toenails. I ended up doing that before we left for church, painting them about the same color as my shirt. I think that detail pulled the outfit together a little more. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to get photos of the change.

Spring Outfit for Church Details:

I’m pretty sure the shirt is from Gap. The tank top is from J.C.Penney. The skirt is Appleseeds brand. I bought the shoes at Rack Room. The necklace came in a set from Walmart, and the bracelet, from T.j.Maxx. The earrings and claw clips were given to me, so I’m not exactly sure where they’re from. 😉

Well, that’s all for now! Are you looking forward to warmer weather? ~ Emily
