The Peach Shirt: Outfit #2
Hello again! Today I’ll be sharing an outfit I wore for peach picking a couple of weeks ago. 🙂
As you can see, this is the same shirt as in the church outfit I blogged last week. I was a little hesitant to post the same piece of clothing twice in a row, but then decided that it wasn’t that big of a deal. Mom says it just shows creativity, since I created a totally different outfit with some of the same pieces. I’ll go with that. 😉
I will say that this shirt is a great one for adding some interest to a regular outfit. It’s a little different, since it’s not just a plain t-shirt. I’ve used it in three separate outfits, so far.
This outfit proved to be perfect for the day’s activities, which included traipsing through a peach orchard located in the mountains, going on a four-mile hike, and hanging out with my sister and brother, plus their families (and of course, my mom, dad, and younger brother.) During most of those events I was holding either my two-year-old niece or my nine-month-old nephew. It was a lot of fun! 🙂
You might remember last Modest Monday’s little conversation on what I used at the neckline of this shirt, and how it didn’t work out too well at first. On this day, I decided to make it easy on myself and just wear a tank top. It was a good choice. As previously mentioned, kids like to pull on your shirt, and that day was no exception. It was great not having to worry about it!
I also added the leggings for modesty’s sake. I didn’t know what the day might include (rock climbing, anyone?) so I played it safe, just in case. It turned out that we didn’t do any rock climbing (it would have been a little difficult with five kids from four to three-months-old.) but I was still glad I was wearing them by the end of the day. 🙂
Details on the outfit I wore for peach picking:
The shirt is Gap brand. The tank is from J.C.Penney, and the skirt is Christopher & Banks brand. I’m not sure where the leggings are from (Oh, and the reason they keep changing length is that they weren’t actually knee-length leggings. I just kept pulling them up since they looked awkward where they normally fell. 😉 ) And the flip flops are from Old Navy.
Well, that’s all for now! I hope you’ve enjoyed this post. What do you wear for unexpected day trips? 😉 ~ Emily
