Pink Shirt and Patchwork Denim
Hello again! Today on Modest Monday we’ll be taking a look at another outfit, featuring a pink shirt and patchwork denim skirt. Let’s get started!
This outfit came together last week. It’s actually made up of two pieces I haven’t worn in a while.
Sometimes, I get stuck in a rut of wearing the same skirts and shirts; just kind of ignoring the other ones in my dresser and closet. This last week I’ve been breaking out of that habit a little and trying out some new combinations. For this particular outfit, I thought that the dusty rose color of the shirt and faded jean skirt would compliment each other, so I tried it out. What do you think?
You may remember that I made this patchwork skirt out of some of my dad’s old work jeans. (I’ll link to the “making of” posts here and here. And when I wore it for the first time here.) Recently I’ve been experimenting a little more with repurposing fabric, such as when I made a tablecloth skirt. You can check that out here on my blog Instagram.
Oh, and if I hadn’t been just walking around our property, I would have worn flip-flops or my Jellypops. Those aren’t very practical for walking around in the mud, though, so boots were the obvious choice when we took these photos.
Pink Shirt and Patchwork Denim Skirt Outfit Details:
The shirt was from J.C.Penney; and though it’s not made out of the best material, I have a feeling it’ll be a staple for me this spring/summer. The skirt, obviously, I made myself. The boots are Muck brand, and I’m not exactly sure where the earrings came from. 😉
Well, that’s all for now! How are you enjoying these first weeks of spring? It’s still been a little chilly here, with only a few really warm days sprinkled around. ~ Emily
