Green Stripes and Denim
Hello again! Today on Modest Monday we’ll be taking a look at a casual outfit featuring green stripes and denim. Let’s get started!
This outfit is actually very similar to the one I posted last week, with a few key changes. The change of shirt, hairstyle, and skirt being the most prominent; but the overall color palette of the outfit staying almost the same.
Random story time: I used to detest wearing a tank top under anything, but I’ve now (mostly 😉 ) come to terms with the fact that they can be quite useful for modest dressing. Or just being more comfortable. Take this shirt, for example. It’s a little boxy and wasn’t all that flattering the first time I wore it, which was without a tank top. When I added the tank top it elongated the shirt, visually, and made it look much better. Of course, I still try to get away with not wearing a tank top under regular shirts and dresses as much as possible. 😉
For my hair, I went pretty simple. Just using a little claw clip and pulling back the side portions of my hair and clipping it in place. This has become one of my go-to styles, since it’s so easy and quick. Another variation of this hairstyle that I do reasonably often is with a larger claw clip, or a flexi clip, for example.
Green Stripes and Denim Outfit Details:
The shirt was a recent purchase from Walmart. The tank top was from Costco, and the skirt was from the thrift store. Flip-flops are Old Navy brand. Oh, and the earrings also came from Walmart.
Well, that’s all for now! I hope you enjoyed this post. Until next time ~ Emily
