A Peek into my Yarn Stash
Hello again! Today we’ll be looking at my yarn stash, as well as a recent purchase with which I’m hoping to improve my skills.

This photo is a little messy, but you can only make yarn look so tidy. The yarn on the left is acrylic, the yarn on the right is cotton, and the purple one all alone on the bottom is wool. I haven’t found anything to do with that one skien yet.

I’ve mostly been accumulating this yarn over the last year and a half or so. Ever since I started making Amigurumi animals, really. I’ll link to some of those animals here, here, and here. I’ve decided that I need to start working through some of this yarn, instead of buying new colors. That limits what I can make, but I’m running out of space to store yarn, so I guess that settles it.
A couple of my nieces and nephews birthdays are coming up, however, so I should be able to use up some of this yarn. I have a few ideas of what I want to make for them. Maybe that’ll be a post in the future?

Oh, and another thing I use to make the Amigurumi animals are these safety eyes. So far, they haven’t come out of any the animals I’ve made. I bought them off of Amazon. I figured that since I was making so many animals, I would need my own store of safety eyes sooner or later.

These are some of the yarns I use for baby blankets. They’re 100% cotton, which I think is important since the finished products will be used for babies. The full skein on top is for a blanket that needs to be made before my newest niece or nephew is born. I’m thinking for that blanket that I’ll use more of an intricate design, since it’s a solid colored yarn.

Now for learning more about that skill? I bought this set a couple of days ago. I’m looking forward to learning more about knitting. So far, most of my experience is with crocheting.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this look into my yarn stash. Do you knit or crochet? Or neither? ~ Emily
