The Starlore Legacy

Hello again! Today on Reading Wednesday I have another book series to recommend: The Starlore Legacy. Let’s get started!

This series was written by Chuck Black, who also wrote some of the other series I recommended here on the blog. I’ll link to those posts here and here.

The Starlore Legacy, as it says on Chuck Black’s website, is “a futuristic allegory of the entire Bible set in a far away galaxy”. Is it interesting? Yes. Does it have a little bit too much technical detail crammed into the first few chapters? Maybe. But all of that information comes in handy later, so just hang on for the ride!

The main character of the book (for at least the first four books, at least. The other eight haven’t come out yet) is Daeson Starlore, a member of the royal family of Jypton. His life seems to be the envy of every lower class citizen, until, that is, it’s turned upside down when he makes the acquaintance of a lowly drudge.

What follows is an adventure spanning space and time. I’m sure you’ll be able to recognize the similarities to Biblical history which is veiled under talk of spaceships, droids and plasma cannons!
