Top 5 Outfits of the Summer

Today I’ll be sharing my top 5 outfits of the summer (that I posted here on the blog, obviously. 😉 ) I thought it would be fun to look over past outfits, as we come into autumn. That last part is something I am very happy about, by the way. 😉 Let’s get started!

Outfit #1

Full disclosure: Technically this outfit wasn’t actually worn in the summer. It was only a few days before, however, and since I have worn it since in the summer, I’m letting it pass. 😉 Besides, the outfit actually made it onto the blog in the summer.

There was just something about this outfit that was comfortable and yet I still felt dressed up. That could have been thanks to my favorite black heels, which I was also wearing. You can’t see them in this photo, but I’ll also link to the original blog post here. I also liked the subtle gold accents. I should wear those pieces of jewelry more often…

Outfit #2

This outfit, believe it or not, actually got several compliments. I wore it for Ultimate Frisbee and fireworks watching on Independence Day. That day was also a Sunday, so the blog post for this outfit also features the one I wore for church earlier in the day.

This outfit is pretty simple, but I still think it’s one of my favorites. It also featured a braided piece of red fabric in my hair, to tie in the red, white, and blue. And yes, I’m wearing pants, but I made them more modest by wearing a long shirt. Anyway, I’ll also link to this post.

Outfit #3

And onto outfit #3! This one was worn for a day of peach-picking in the mountains. That day was a lot of fun, so maybe that’s helping in making this outfit one of my top 5. But seriously, this outfit was perfect for what was planned (and not planned, like a four mile hike) for the day. Don’t you love when it works out like that? The layering wasn’t fussy or uncomfortable (like it usually is for me). An all-around win. And here’s a link to the original post here.

Outfit #4

This is an outfit I felt very elegant in. Long, flowing skirts have a tendency to make me feel that way, whether I look like it or not. 😉 This maxi skirt is my favorite out of the ones I’ve accumulated over the years. The length is perfect, the fit too, and even if I’m not usually inclined to black clothes, there’s enough white in it to make it me look past the darker parts. And pairing it with an old standby white sweater helped, too. 😉 I’ll link to that post here.

Outfit #5

This one features several things that were already favorites and a few that are fast becoming favorites. Among the old are the heels and sweater. Among the new are the dress and the hairstyle. I just like how coordinated the outfit is. It was also pretty comfortable, as well. I’ll link to the original post here.

Well, that’s it for my top 5 outfits of the summer. I hope you enjoyed it! What do you like wearing in the summer? ~ Emily
